VW's Ideas for the Future!

People say that by the time you unpack your new computer and get it up and running, it is already outdated and something way cooler will be released within a couple weeks.  The same kind of thing is happening with the automotive industry.  Most of the GMC inventory that you are likely to find at any NC Chevy Dealer is going to come standard with remote start, seat warmers, and optional navigation.  While others like Kia are trying to play catchup in the entertainment multimedia field competing with Ford's Sync, Kia's UVO pales by comparison and is a pricey option while Sync is standard in the entire Ford line up.  Seattle Toyota Dealers and their parent auto manufacturer created the Prius, which blew away all the current hybrid competition at that time and other brands have decided they can't "reinvent the wheel" so to speak and have focused their efforts on electric vehicles like the Nissan Leaf or the Chevy Volt.

AZ Volkswagen should be quite proud of their German parents.  Volkswagen is already known for their legendary diesel engines and turbocharged line up.  Their vehicles are sleek and sporty, reliable, and incredibly fun to drive.  Plus, if you get the diesel engine, you are getting far better fuel economy than even a comparable hybrid model.  Perhaps their mission is to keep us on our toes or simply to "wow" us with their creative ingenuity.  Whatever it is, their hopes and dreams for the future are quite exciting!

There is talk of an electric sun visor.  Anyone who has driven at sunrise or sunset, and the glare is worse in Southern California due to the smog, driver's would benefit from an electronic matrix that would reduce the glare just like self-adjusting eye glasses do.  VW has been talking about making their vehicles more family friendly.  Imagine the ability to recline your small child's car seat should they need to take a nap, all the while staying within car seat laws and safety regulations.  Or even something as simple as installing a foot rest on the backs of the front seats to avoid the kids kicking you while you are driving!
