2011 Ford F-150 Gets New Engines;

The 2011 Ford F-150 is getting a lineup of new engines from reports on AutoBlog.com. The new F-150 will feature four engine choices that have the latest Ford fuel efficiency technology and other technology upgrades. The Ford F-150 can be found at an Ford Edmonton dealership, and it has always been known for being a customization pickup model. The Ford F-150 is in direct competition with Chevy's popular Silverado model, and we can expect to see heavier competition between the two companies in upcoming years. The Chevy Silverado may be test driven or purchased at a Greenville Chevrolet Dealer.

There are other fuel efficient Volkswagen models that can be purchased from your local Volkswagen Dealer, but obviously do not have the working capacity of a pickup truck. However, Ford is trying to change this with the implementation of several types of new engine technology. The Ford F-150 for the 2011 will feature a 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine option, a 3.5 liter V6 engine, a 5.0 liter V8, and a 6.2 liter V8 engine option found in the F-150 Super Duty.

The Ford F-150 is rated as being one of the best full-size pickup models on the market. The 2011 model will feature a new engine family that will be more fuel efficient than the 2010 F-150 by at least 20 percent. The 3.7 liter V6 and 5.0 liter V8 found in the 2011 Mustang will be used in the F-150. There will also be the first 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine used in a rear wheel drive model of the F-150. The EcoBoost V6 engine has a high opinion of many reviewers due to its combination of fuel efficiency and power.

The 3.7 liter base V6 will be rated at 300 horsepower and be very capable of handling a wide range of work loads including a 6,100 towing capacity. This is the same capacity of the Silverado hybrid.
