Technological Safety Features!

Did you know that four of the 2010 line up at AZ Volkswagen received Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety?  Volkswagen is known for making safe, stylish cars that Americans love to drive!  Plus, you can pick up a Certified Pre-Owned car from San Antonio Ford and get more perks and benefits from buying used than if you bought a brand new car!  Funny how that works.  But if you get a chance, go to a NC Ford Dealer and check out some of the new safety features that many vehicles come standard with.  The auto industry is incredibly competitive, and you should take advantage of that competitive nature and see what amazing results the auto engineers are coming up with to stay at the top of the game!

Blind spot detection systems are helpful so that you can avoid a side collision.  When you engage your turn signal to either change lanes or parallel park, if there is something in your side blind spot, the vehicle's system will alert you by sensing it with radars.

Also very helpful to have on your car is a back up camera.  Often times these will automatically appear in your rearview mirror whenever you put the car in reverse.  This is helpful in preventing injury to small children who may be playing behind your vehicle or to help prevent you from backing up over something that could damage your vehicle.  Especially in SUVs and large trucks, you really can't see what is at your rear bumper just from using side mirrors or turning around.

The feature that might give you the most peace of mind as a driver is some kind of emergency response system.  GM has been putting OnStar in their vehicles for a few years now, and the knowledge that emergency aid will be coming should you have a crash whether you are conscious or not is nice to know.
